There are places that are really worth a visit, and then there are places you simply can’t miss - the Electricity Museum is one of such places. Located on the Tejo riverbank, in Belém - one of Lisbon’s most dynamic cultural areas - Tejo Power Station is an absolutely unique space - a former thermoelectric power plant, which supplied the entire region of Lisbon with electric power.
A unique example of industrial archaeology from the first half of the 20th century, it was classified as an asset of Public Interest in 1986.
After entering a new phase of its existence, the Tejo Power Station opened to the public for the first time in 1990 as the "Electricity Museum": a space for science, with an industrial feel, this is also one of the most visited museums in the country.
The get-together will be informal, and not requiring a dress code.
Music, Drinks and some finger food will be provided.
Tickets will be collected at the entrance.
